RoodMicrotec secures two new orders with Chinese and European market leaders in automotive and aerospace

RoodMicrotec has reinforced its position in the semiconductor market by securing orders with two suppliers for the automotive and aerospace industries. The clients, two of the largest companies in their sectors worldwide, are based in Europe and China.

RoodMicrotec is the European supplier of services for semiconductors and advanced microchips for the fast-growing markets of electric cars, industrial and medical supplies and 'The Internet of Things'.

RoodMicrotec will support its new customers, who supply finished products in the semiconductor market, in failure analysis and visual inspections of microchips. Failure analysis is part of a continuous improvement process to identify and correct defects and so maintain microchip operational reliability.

RoodMicrotec will focus on the following services:

1. The improvement of the packaged microchips through a selection process (exposure to extreme test temperatures and other environmental conditions) as required by the automotive and aerospace sectors. 
2. The manufacturing of chip components for the electronic automotive sector, including image sensors utilised in cameras, optical mice and other optical sensors.

Both orders are an endorsement of RoodMicrotec's status as a leading provider of these services for the European and global markets, and are expected to lead to further significant business in the near-term.

The new contracts will commence in Q3 of this year and require RoodMicrotec and its customers to cooperate closely on a daily basis.
