Canadian small businesses have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars to date with Rogers Unison

Over half of Canadian cubicles are empty, with unused, costly phone systems gathering dust1

TORONTO, Oct. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - From coast to coast, Canadian businesses can now offer their employees a better way to communicate with Rogers Unison, Canada's only fully managed, truly mobile communications system. The solution lets businesses use technology that best supports how they work by offering the features of a traditional phone system across multiple devices including mobile phones, desk phones, laptops and tablets, all synced to one phone number. Rogers Unison launched to small businesses earlier this year and is now available for medium, large and public sector organizations.

"Small business customers across the country have gone mobile with Rogers Unison and we're thrilled to now bring the next evolution of this breakthrough product to all our business customers," said Nitin Kawale, President, Enterprise Business Unit, Rogers Communications. "Our medium and large business customers want a solution that offers the right device for the right employee, and Rogers Unison delivers on this need by offering a solution that connects a workforce, whether employees are in the office or working remote. We can deliver these outcomes to customers because we aren't tied to selling legacy phone systems like those of other providers in the market."

With Rogers Unison, businesses and their employees can truly work where and how they need to by getting access to a number of features across all their devices such as smartphones, PCs, tablets or IP desk phones. Key features and benefits of the next phase of this solution include:

  • Significant cost savings: Save your business significant costs by cutting the cord on unused desk phones, and adopt a predictable, as-a-service payment model with no maintenance costs, all while keeping the phone number
  • Ability to work seamlessly across devices: With Rogers Unison, make and receive calls on any device and move calls easily from one device to the next, all while paying for only one line
  • Simplified communications: Rogers Unison automatically works with your device – no mobile app or software is required. You can also use four or five-digit extension calling from any device just like you would on your desk phone
  • Frontline staff save time: Office receptionists can now see if a user is on a call or not no matter what device they are on, and seamlessly transfer calls even on to mobile

Rogers Unison is also launching at a time when Canadians are keen for new technology in the workplace. New research released by Rogers and WORKshift today reveals that the majority (60%) of Canadian workers agree that a workplace with antiquated technology would cause them to reconsider their job. It also reveals that Baby Boomers desire new mobile technology just as much as their Millennial counterparts2. Canadian employees today are demanding mobile solutions to do their job, however the reality is that less than a quarter of businesses are actually delivering on this need3.

Rogers Unison has already attracted a number of businesses who have made the transition to a mobile work environment and realized immediate benefits, including small business Endeavour Design Inc.:

Max Jenke, CEO, Endeavour Design Inc:

"Endeavor Design Inc. is the parent company for brands Endeavor Snowboards, Airhole Facemasks, Colour Wear, and Ransom Holding Co. We operate as a small team of six managing a Global and North American business. We find ourselves on the road seeing our customers, visiting factories, and testing our products at the top of mountains - one of the many perks of the job. Being mobile is essential and having a traditional phone system in the office isn't an option. With Rogers Unison, we're able to utilize a virtual receptionist to direct calls to our employees' cell phones directly - that means we will actually pick up the phone, whether we are in the office, at a factory in Asia, or on a mountain peak in Europe."
