PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As CIOs focus on equipping their businesses with modern infrastructures for the future, their IT teams are faced with the mounting challenge of managing an ever-widening array of fragmented systems. This Thursday, Jive Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: JIVE) and Red Hat (NYSE: RHT), a leading open-source solution provider, will host a webinar to address how companies can ease this IT burden and give employees more integrated communication and collaboration experiences via interactive intranet solutions.

During this week's live webinar, Mason Sanders will explain how Red Hat transitioned away from a traditional intranet and centralized its disparate tools in a single collaboration hub. He'll also highlight the process improvements that resulted from the company's implementation of the Jive Interactive Intranet solution. Sanders will be joined by Jive's Ian Botbyl, who will share best practices for reducing the fragmentation that companies face after accumulating a disjointed mix of software designed for various business needs and environments.

"Red Hat's open culture and the open source development model create a company that values choice, but this can be somewhat challenging for IT. Each application we add increases the complexity of our environment, and as we scale we fight a never-ending battle to strike the proper balance of cost, complexity and choice," said Sanders. "Our Jive-powered Interactive Intranet provides a simple, yet elegant, collaboration solution that makes it easier for IT to meet the needs of our ever-growing and diversifying user base, and Jive's flexibility has made it one of Red Hat's cornerstone platforms."

Red Hat is one of many companies that use Jive to support critical IT, human resources and corporate communications goals, such as establishing a unified company culture, increasing employee engagement and driving strategic alignment. Businesses such as ADP, American Express Global Business Travel, GoDaddy, Grant Thornton, Pearson and Plex Systems have deployed Jive's Interactive Intranet solution to ease the IT management burden of their digital workplaces, while enhancing communications and collaboration between executives, departments and geographical locations.
