QinetiQ North America Wins Cradle Lock EPCC Contract with Electric Boat

WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- QinetiQ North America (QNA) has been awarded a contract from General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) to design and develop a cradle lock Electro-Mechanical Actuator Power Conditioner / Controller (EPCC) replacement for the VIRGINIA Class Block V Weapon Stowage and Handling System (WSHS).  The EPCC is a rack of hardware and software designed to control a number of precision actuators and is used throughout the VIRGINIA class fleet.  Similar systems will also exist on the upcoming COLUMBIA class of submarines.

General Dynamics Electric Boat chooses QinetiQ North America to design and develop a cradle lock Electro-Mechanical Actuator Power Conditioner / Controller replacement for the VIRGINIA Class Block V Weapon Stowage and Handling System.
