Power Corporation announces the retirement of Henri-Paul Rousseau

MONTRÉAL, Dec. 15, 2017

"Mr. Rousseau has made an outstanding contribution to our management team and to our subsidiaries' boards over the last nine years," said André Desmarais, Deputy Chairman, President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Power Corporation and Executive Co-Chairman of Power Financial. "He played a key role in leading economic and market research on pension systems, retirement product design and the value of financial advice, the results of which were used by our operating businesses for the benefit of their clients. Mr. Rousseau will be a visiting professor at the Paris School of Economics during the 2018-2019 academic year. There he will conduct research on the impact of new digital technologies and robotization on government activity, as well as on the redefinition of public policies relating to taxation, income distribution and regulatory frameworks.  

Mr. Rousseau will also continue his philanthropic activities in the fields of health and education while remaining involved with Québec medium- and large-sized companies of global scope as a founding co-chairman of the QG100 Network.
