Marsh & McLennan Companies Announces Pricing of $1 Billion Senior Notes Offering

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today that it has priced $500 million of 2.750% senior notes due 2022 (the “2022 Notes”) and $500 million of 4.350% senior notes due 2047 (the “2047 Notes,” together with the 2022 Notes, the “Notes”). The Company intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes. The closing of the Notes offering is expected to occur on January 12, 2017, subject to certain customary conditions. Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., ANZ Securities, Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments, Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers for the 2022 Notes offering. Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are acting as joint book-running managers for the 2047 Notes offering.
