SCHAUMBURG, Ill., March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The industry's most rugged 4-port, single-hole mount multiband mobile antenna, which enables multiple on-board technologies and maximizes mobile voice, data and FirstNet broadband coverage, was announced today by global technology leader Laird (LRD: London).
Laird's new Phantom Fin single-hole mount multiband mobile antenna is ideal for today's hi-tech public safety and fleet environments, which can best be described as mobile operation centers.
First responders are increasingly relying on networks like FirstNet, which is developing a national, interoperable LTE public safety broadband network to provide thousands of police officers and firefighters across the nation with advanced communication and collaboration technologies to help them do their jobs safely and efficiently, and better protect the public.
Likewise, public works, urban transportation, and commercial and industrial fleets also depend on reliable mobile connectivity to better serve the public, improve customer service, and increase operational efficiencies.
Laird's new Phantom Fin multiband antenna integrates 3G/4G LTE, UHF, Wi-Fi, GPS, and WLAN frequency operation into one IP67-rated aerodynamic, water-proof housing for highly reliable operation, even in the harshest of environments.

The new Phantom Fin 4-port multiband roof mount antenna provides pattern coverage optimized for mobile wireless requirements at 380-430MHz, 698-960/1710-2700MHz, 2400-2500/4900-5875MHz and 1575.42 MHz(GPS).
