(NasdaqGS: ANGO)("AngioDynamics" or the "Company") for possible violations of federal securities laws.
The investigation is based on whether AngioDynamics and its executives violated federal securities law by misleading investors by making false and/or misleading statements regarding the Company's business, operational and compliance policies.
On July 17, 2017, AngioDynamics filed a Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission disclosing that, among other things, its former independent registered public accounting firm has "determined that there was a material weakness in the Company's internal control over financial reporting as of May 31, 2016 because the Company did not design and maintain effective internal controls over the accounting for the annual goodwill impairment test."
Following this news, AngioDynamics stock fell 6.78% to close at $15.12 per share on July 18, 2017.
