Major hydraulics supplier Dacke simplifies and improves business
processes with IFS Applications 2003
IFS Norway has signed an agreement for the implementation of IFS
Application 2003 with its existing customer, Dacke Hydraulik, from
Sweden. The business solution will be used by over 500 employees at a
total of 19 sites in Norway, Denmark and Finland. IFS Applications
2003 will further simplify and improve business processes within the
Dacke Group. The system will be operated by @IFS, the application
service provider (ASP) within the IFS Group, and the total contract
value is approximately US$ 1 million.
IFS Applications 2003 will be installed at PMC Technology A/S in
Denmark, Polarteknik Oy in Finland, and Servi Motion Control AS in
Norway, all subsidiaries within the Dacke Group. The implementation
project has already started. Dacke is currently using IFS
Applications for financials, SCM, manufacturing, sales support,
design, material administration, human resources, and service
management.
"The project has been highly successful, and we are now looking
forward to taking the next step in our collaboration with IFS. The
next phase will focus on simplifying and improving our use of IFS
Applications, in addition to utilizing the new functionality in IFS
Applications 2003. Some of the benefits gained so far from our
partnership with IFS are better understanding of our supply chain as
a platform for change and improvements in our business processes,"
said Torgeir Lindtveit, project manager at Servi Motion Control.
"IFS has invested significant resources in concepts and methods that
help our customers secure return on their investments. With the
release of IFS Applications 2003-Packaged for Payback, we are taking
the concept another step forward. We are pleased to get the chance to
further develop the partnership with the Dacke Group," explained
Glenn Arnesen, vice president of IFS Norway.
