HONOLULU, Aug. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 2, 2016, the board of directors of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (NYSE: HE) (HEI) maintained the regular quarterly cash dividend of 31 cents per share, payable September 12, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 24, 2016 (ex-dividend date is August 22, 2016). The dividend is equivalent to an annual rate of $1.24 per share.
Dividends have been paid continuously since 1901. At the indicated annual dividend rate and the closing share price on August 2, 2016 of $30.51, HEI's yield is 4.1%.
