Hausmann Industries, a Division of Dynatronics, Achieves OSHA Award

NORTHVALE, N.J., June 12, 2017

The Company will celebrate the achievement on June 12 with a presentation ceremony at its facility in Northvale.  Invited guests include Northvale's Mayor, Ed Piehler; the Director of OSHA's Hasbrouck Heights Area Office, Lisa Levy; Chris Tully, Chief of Community Engagement for Congressman Josh Gottheimer, and the Assistant Chief of the NJ Dept of Labor and Workforce Development, Keith Metz.

OSHA's Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes small business employers who have used OSHA's on-site consultation program services and operate an exemplary injury- and illness-prevention program.  Worksites that achieve SHARP status are deferred from programmed enforcement inspections while in the program.

David Hausmann, President of the division, states, "Safety is of paramount importance at Hausmann.  It's common sense to have a safety first culture.  I am proud of all our people for their continuous dedication to safety. The SHARP program has helped us evaluate our previous standards.  The OSHA consultation process, along with our internal efforts, has resulted in a higher level of safety planning and awareness." 

According to Ariel Mazer, Hausmann's Director of Operations, "SHARP is not just about OSHA compliance, SHARP is about 'going above and beyond' to provide a safer working environment and encourage constant improvement and increased employee awareness."

Rich Breitenbach, Hausmann's Director of Engineering, adds, "The SHARP program has made us more aware of areas where we could improve.  As part of the consultation process we performed noise, dust, and air tests, which confirmed that our programs are working and effectively help us maintain a safe work environment."
