NEW YORK, Dec. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP (www.hfesq.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Nicholas Financial Inc. ("Nicholas Financial" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: NICK) concerning the proposed acquisition of the Company by Prospect Capital ("Prospect").
On December 18, 2013, Nicholas Financial announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which the Company will be acquired by Prospect. Under the terms of the agreement, Nicholas Financial shareholders will receive $16 divided by the 20 day, volume-weighted average price of Prospect stock prior to announcement of the proposed transaction.
