Pursuant to a plan to increase revenue, CFG offers consumers financial checkup meetings referred to as "Citizens Checkup" meetings. On March 29, 2017, an article in The Wall Street Journal reported that according to CFG employees in five states, of the 400,000 "Citizens Checkup" meetings reported by the Company in 2016, many were fabricated by employees.

Our investigation concerns whether the Company board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
