MegaFon appoints the Director for Consumer Business Development Moscow, Russian Federation (08 December 2016) - Public Joint Stock Company 'MegaFon' (LSE: MFON), a leading Russian telecommunications operator ('MegaFon' or the 'Company'), hereby announces the appointment of Mr. Mikhail Molotkov as Director for Consumer Business Development, who earlier served as Director of the Central Operations (Branch) of the Company. The designation will come into effect on 19 December 2016. The Company's Board of Directors at the meeting held on 07 December 2016 approved the resignation of Mr. Molotkov from the position of Director of the Central Operations (Branch) of MegaFon with effect from 16 December 2016. Over his 14 years at MegaFon, Mikhail has grown from VAS and Marketing Analysis Specialist to become Director of MegaFon's Central Operations (Branch). He has in-depth knowledge of the market along with understanding of the Company and its internal processes. Under Mikhail's management, MegaFon grew subscriber base in its Central Operations by almost 8%, significantly expanded 4G coverage, launched an LTE-Advanced network in Nizhny Novgorod and Tula and also became the first mobile operator in Russia to demonstrate speeds of some 5 Gbit/s in Nizhny Novgorod. Biography: Mikhail joined the Company in 2002 as a Lead Specialist in the VAS and Marketing Analysis Group. In 2004, he took charge of the Marketing and Advertising Department. In 2006, he was appointed Deputy Commercial Director responsible for Marketing. From 2009 to 2013, Mr. Molotkov was Commercial Director of the Central Branch.
