TOKYO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 02/19/09 -- Aplix Corporation (TSE: 3727),
with the cooperation of NTT DOCOMO (TSE: 9437), has developed an
automated conversion technology that makes it easy to provide
i-applis(R), which are provided for NTT DOCOMO's I-mode(R)
service, to various open platforms including Windows Mobile, S60,
Android, iPhone, and portable game devices that are becoming
increasingly prevalent worldwide.
With this new technology, advanced and exciting i-appli games and
content from Japan which are provided for i-mode handsets can be
automatically converted into applications for various open
platforms. To maintain the same level of quality as the
applications developed specifically for each platform, the converted
applications will automatically be able to support unique features
of the target platform such as stroking the touch panel and changing
the orientation of the screen.
"We feel delighted that this technology has been born from the
service NTT DOCOMO has created. We are looking forward to Aplix's
technology which realizes services that make customers happy,"
