28% productivity increase with Birdstep SafeMove

Deployment of Birdstep SafeMove Secure Mobility Solution has increased the time available to productive work by 28% in the administrative area of the emergency aid department at Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa Oslo, November 29th 2007 - Birdstep Technology ASA, the leading provider of secure seamless connectivity and mobility software for laptop, PDA's and Smartphones and Oulu University, today announce the first results from the CreaProc program on productivity gains from the deployment of Birdstep SafeMove Mobile VPN. The program has studied processes and productivity at Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa and other large organizations. The results from the research show productivity gain of up to 28%, in the administrative area of the emergency aid department, after deployment of Birdstep SafeMove Mobile VPN compared to the situation prior the deployment. CreaProc is a process research program carried out by the Department of Information Processing Science of Oulu University in Finland. The purpose is to develop methods and tools to find process models that will augment organizational productivity by enhancing internal and external processes. CreaProc laboratory analyses key processes of chosen organizations and seeks for economical and social impacts of process improvements using a method called 3VPM - Three Viewpoint Method. The research focuses also on collecting best practices, thus narrowing the academic research and process practicalities.
