Cost reduction that has been achieved by the offshore wind industry is “simply incredible”, Offshore Wind Energy (OWE) 2017 has heard.
RenewableUK chief executive Hugh McNeal said the sector is at a “very significant moment” and is having a “wonderful effect” on coastal communities through job creation.
McNeal, who was speaking at the opening session of OWE 2017 in London, said the cost reductions seen in the offshore wind sector are more commonly associated with other industries.
“From niche to mainstream, from small scale to being an infrastructure leader, from the UK and Europe to a genuinely global technology being developed all over the world it is wonderful to witness the transformation of offshore wind,” McNeal said. WindEurope chief executive Giles Dickson said cost reduction was “truly remarkable” and said with the right policies the sector can expand significantly.He said by 2030, some 25% of European energy could come from offshore wind at “competitive” prices of €54 per megawatt-hour including grid connection and system integration costs..

Auftraggeber für die Windturbinen ist der langjährige Partner Eltech Anemos S.A. Die Tochtergesellschaft Vestas Mediterranean liefert demzufolge 25 Windturbinen der Serie V136-3.45 MW mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 90 MW.

Bei dem Kassidiaris Windpark in der Region Epirus im Nordwesten von Griechenland handelt es sich um die bislang größte Windkraftanlage in Griechenland. Neben der Lieferung ist Vestas Wind Systems auch für die Installation der Turbinen verantwortlich.

Wer mit den Prognosen von vestas in den letzten Jahren vertraut ist weiß, dass diese immer extrem konservativ waren:

Ich denke wir werden vermutlich schon mit den Q2-Zahlen ein Upgrade sehen. Mit einem Umsatzrückgang 2017 rechne ich nicht.

In einer jüngst abgeschlossenen Auktion von Erneuerbare Energien - Projekten, die an OOO Fortum Energy ging, wurde Vestas Wind Systems vom Fortum-Rusnano Wind Investment Fund für die Lieferung von Anlagen für Onshore-Windkraftprojekte beauftragt.

Im Rahmen der Übereinkunft plant Vestas Wind Systems die Errichtung einer eigenen Fertigungsstätte in der russischen Föderation, um den lokalen Markt bedienen zu können. (lim/rem)

The Danish company said the V150-4.0/4.2MW, V136-4.0/4.2MW, and V117-4.0/4.2MW machines offer double-digit growth in annual energy production (AEP) across all wind classes. Vestas said the V150 has the largest rotor in its class and offers more than 20% AEP in low wind, while also reducing sound levels.
The V136-4.0/4.2MW raises AEP in medium wind conditions and the V117-4.0/4.2MW in strong wind or typhoon type wind conditions, the company said.

Vestas is to supply turbines totalling 50MW to Jiangsu Sinojit Wind Energy Technology for the Xuanhuihe wind farm in Hebei province in northern China.
The Danish manufacturer will deliver and supervise installation of V110 2MW machines, which will be optimised to 2.2MW. Delivery is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2017, Vestas said.
The deal also includes an active output management 4000 service contract and the company’s Scada VestasOnline Business monitoring and preventive maintenance system.

Insgesamt sollen 80 V136-3.45 MW Windturbinen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 288 MW für den Windpark Åskälen, der außerhalb von Östersund in Zentralschweden liegt, geliefert werden.Neben der Lieferung ist Vestas Wind auch für die Installation und Kommissionierung der Windturbinen verantwortlich. Zudem wurde eine Service- und Instandhaltungsvereinbarung für 20 Jahre unterzeichnet.Die ersten Turbinen sollen im dritten Quartal 2019 ausgeliefert werden, die Kommissionierung soll in 2020 beginnen.
Ausserdem hat Vestas aus den USA einen Auftrag für 30 V110-2.0 MW Windturbinen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 60 MWfür die Region Colorado erhalten. Zudem wurde ein Servicevertrag über mehrere Jahre angeschlossen. Die Auslieferung soll im dritten Quartal 2017 erfolgen.Ein zweiter 70MW-Auftrag für 40 V110-2.0 MW Turbinen aus den USA kommt für das Copenhagen Wind Project im Staate New York.
Als drittes Land hat Vestas Wind Systems in Australien eine neue Order zu vermelden. Geliefert werden sollen 15 V126-3.45 MW Windturbinen mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 54 MW für den Windpark Salt Creek in Woorndoo, Victoria......

vestas teilte mit, dass man von einer Tochtergesellschaft des Zement- und Chemieunternehmens PCRB mit der Lieferung und dem Aufbau seiner V117 Anlagen beauftragt wurde. Die Anlagen sollen auf eine Spitzenleistung von 3,6 MW optimiert sein und in einem Windkraftprojekt mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 100 MW zum Einsatz kommen.
Die Lieferung der Anlagen soll im vierten Quartal erfolgen, der Aufbau dann im dritten Quartal 2018 abgeschlossen sein. Weiterhin hat sich das Unternehmen einen 10-Jahres Servicevertrag sichern können. Vestas sagte, dass man in Argentinien binnen eines halben Jahres Anlagen mit einer Gesamtleistung von rund 500 MW absetzen konnte.

Vestas has confirmed a 302MW turbine supply deal for MidAmerican Energy at the WindXI project in Iowa.
The now unconditional order for 170 V110-2.0MW turbines includes previously purchased PTC-qualifying components.Deliveries to the multi-site wind farm will kick off in the second quarter of 2018 and full operation at the wider complex is scheduled for 2019....
