WHITE ROCK, British Columbia, Dec. 21 /CNW/ -- travelbyus.com ltd.
(Toronto: TBU; Frankfurt: TVB) is pleased to announce the successful
completion of its previously announced private placement of special warrants
and units for gross proceeds of $30 million (Cdn.).
The issue of special warrants, which was heavily oversubscribed was led by
Wellington West Capital Inc., a full service brokerage firm based in Winnipeg
Manitoba, and the syndicate included Canaccord Capital and Roche Securities
Inc. The private placement of units was carried out by Lines Overseas
Management Limited.
Mr. Kerby, CEO stated that the proceeds of this financing will be used as
follows:
-- Complete previously announced acquisition of Cheap Seats Inc.
-- Roll out North American marketing blitz in the new year to announce to
consumers the launch of the www.travelbyus.com website.
-- Enhance the Corporation's unique "360 degree e-commerce marketing
model" with strategic acquisitions.
-- Provide working capital and possible redemption of debentures.
He went on to state, "This is a major step forward in the development of
the Company."
This financing greatly strengthens the Company's balance sheet just prior
to the filing of a Form 20-F registration with the SEC. Such filing is
anticipated early in the New Year.
