TEAM Entertainment Signs Exclusive Multi-Year Output Deal With Veteran TV Miniseries and Movie Producer Gary Hoffman

LOS ANGELES, Mar 3, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Former FOX Broadcasting Television Movie and Miniseries Department
    Head to Join TEAM with Substantial Dramatic Production Roster;
Historic Four-Hour Miniseries "Unknown Internment" First
                        Co-Production Project

Prolific television movie and miniseries producer Gary Hoffman has signed an
exclusive multi-year output deal to produce and co-produce major event-oriented
network and cable television movies and miniseries with TEAM Entertainment, the
production arm of TEAM Communications Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TMTV) (Neuer
Markt:TME), it was announced today by TEAM Chairman of the Board and Chief
Executive Officer Drew S. Levin. TEAM International Distribution will handle all
global sales outside of the US on pictures produced and financed under Hoffman's
banner, as well as projects co-produced and financed by TEAM.

"Gary has a superb track record as an outstanding producer of major event
television movies and miniseries that have consistently delivered strong ratings
for all the major U.S. broadcast and cable networks, as well as for the
movie-oriented European and international networks worldwide, said Levin. "He
has proven himself to be a highly successful and innovative producer for the

last twelve years as well as an excellent programmer during his two tenures as
the head of the television movie department at the Fox Broadcasting Network,"
added Levin. "We are delighted to welcome him to TEAM, particularly given the
current timing of our rapidly expanding worldwide production and distribution
capabilities and look forward to a long rewarding relationship with Gary,"
concluded Levin.

As a prolific long-form producer, Hoffman spearheaded the development and
production of an impressive list of twenty-four movies-of-the-week and
mini-series that won rave reviews from television critics around the world and
received numerous Emmy and CableACE awards in "Best Picture" and "Best
Miniseries" categories. The controversial "Bastard Out of Carolina," which
Hoffman executive-produced for TNT and aired on Showtime Networks, was the only
made-for-television movie ever invited to compete in the Cannes Film Festival.
The two-hour movie won the Television Critics Award for Outstanding
Movie/Miniseries and received EMMY and CableACE nominations as Best Picture.

Under his administration at FOX, Hoffman was responsible for the network's most
ambitious, critically acclaimed and highest-rated movies in its history,
including "Menendez: Honor Thy Father, Honor Thy Mother" and "Bonnie and Clyde:
The True Story," which he also wrote and directed.

"I am delighted to be a part of TEAM," said Hoffman. "Drew Levin's team has
great creative and marketing instincts and an infectious entrepreneurial spirit.
It'll be terrific to add new, high-quality commercial television movies and
miniseries to their impressive roster of dramatic series already in production,"
concluded Hoffman.

First among the projects which TEAM and Hoffman will co-produce is the ambitious
event miniseries depicting the illegal internment of Italian Americans in the
U.S. during World War II. The four-hour production is based on Stephen Fox's
acclaimed non-fiction book, "Unknown Internment." The intriguing project was
initially announced last July by TEAM Chairman Drew S. Levin on the steps of the
Capitol's Rotunda, following a joint press conference held by New York
Congressmen Eliot Engel and Rick Lazio to announce the introduction of new
legislation into Congress addressing the U.S. government's unjust policies and
systematic denial of basic human rights and freedoms of Italian Americans during
World War II. "Unknown Internment" will be executive produced by Hoffman, Levin
and Mark Baron, the award-winning producer, who spearheaded the development of
the television project for TEAM.
