Yes have received confirmation from Indian contact that the contract in that country is all but sealed & director returning early
next week. Announcement expected.

I guess this explains the extraordinary vol's traded the past 2 days. (avg >30% of SFM's mktcap'n). Happy though as there
have been alot of profit taking by smaller players (good on you- can't go broke by taking profit) but providing great
opportunity for the big players at huge long positions at 4.5-5.5c levels & even lower.

The most positive thing (being a pessimist) is its healthy cashflow relative to sector peers (evidenced by its acquisition
announcement on 31.1.00) in addition to its extremely low debt ratio (low sensitivity if any interest hikes 25/50bps).

The size of these contracts (see below) are substantial for a company of its size.

The confirmation that it has acquried 100% of Bluefire will see considerable (momentum buying) until its float.

For the smaller players enjoy the ride. Can't make all the big profits like the big sharsk that will snap up til 10c & have priority

allocations to Bluefire. Goodluck.

Announcement
--------------------------------------------------
BLUEFIRE'S GAS BUSINESS POWERS AHEAD IN SOUTHERN ASIA
Bluefire quoting on CNG bus conversions up to a value of AU$73 million.

INDIA

BLUEFIRE GAS LTD. HAS SIGNED A MEMORANDIUM OF UNDERSTANDING "MOU" AND FORMED A
JOINT VENTURE AUTO GAS COMPANY IN INDIA WITH THE WINSOME GROUP.
Enquires have been received from India for 700 CNG bus ch%%is, developed by Bluefire in conjunction with Hino and
Indomobile. If successful, Bluefires share of this contract will generate revenue of around AU$21.0 million. The Winsome
Trading Company was established in 1952. Today the Winsome Group remains a family company. It has grown into a
conglomerate of diverse Industries which employ 7,500 people with a gross annual turnover of more than US$150 million.

Amongst its other businesses the Winsome Group is involved in developing the emerging Indian LPG and CNG markets. The
new company, subject to Board approval, will be 50% owned by Bluefire and will fast track Bluefire's penetration into the
Indian Automotive Gas market. The Winsome Group has established links to Government and the Automotive and Gas
Industries.

India has a population of some 900 million people. As in other third world countries, the rapid increase in all types of motor
vehicles %%ociated with poor infrastructure and low quality fuels has led to a severe environmental problem. It is therefore no
surprise that a number of top Indian cities figure in the list of worlds most polluted cities. Not surprisingly, the environmental
problems and related health hazards resulting from motor vehicle emissions have reached the judiciary, including at the highest
level - the Supreme Court of India. In a series of landmark judgements, the government and vehicle manufacturers have been
directed to implement effective steps in checking vehicle emissions.

It is estimated that 100,000 vehicles have already been converted to gas without the support or safety of conventional
automotive gas dispensers.

THAILAND

BLUEFIRE GAS LTD IS TENDERING ON THE CONVERSION OF 1,200 BUSES TO CNG
The Australian Government Trade Commission (Austrade) in Bangkok has introduced to Bluefire an opportunity to quote on
the conversion of 1200 buses to CNG for the city of Bangkok. If successful, Bluefires share of this contract will generate
revenue of around AU$36.0 million.

INDONESIA

IT'S BUSINESS AS USUAL
Our Indonesian subsidiary operating in Jakarta reports that it is business as usual for the company despite the recently reported
tensions.

Bluefires subsidiary has worked for the past two years, in conjunction with Hino Heavy Vehicles and Indomobil Investment
Corporation (Indonesia's second largest vehicle manufacturer) to develop and produce a CNG powered bus and truck rolling
ch%%is. The company is currently quoting on the conversion of 550 buses to CNG. If successful, Bluefires share of this
contract will generate revenue of around AU$16.0 million.

Bluefire expects to sell these ch%%es locally and to export to other developing countries. The cost should be significantly
lower than similar products from Europe.
