Spyglass Appoints John S. Pigott as New Vice President of Sales
Pigott Also Named an Officer of the Company
NAPERVILLE, Ill., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Internet pioneer Spyglass Inc. (Nasdaq: SPYG - news) today announced the appointment of John S. Pigott, 44, to vice president of sales. Pigott, who sold software and services for IBM Corp. and Cerner Corp. for more than 20 years, understands Spyglass' solutions approach to the information appliance market.

Pigott comes to Spyglass after four years with Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner Corp., a leading supplier of clinical and management information/knowledge systems for healthcare organizations throughout the world. He held the position of regional vice president at Cerner, where he was responsible for transforming a 100-person organization into a high-quality sales group focused on client satisfaction.
Prior to joining Cerner, Pigott worked more than 17 years with IBM, holding positions ranging from regional manager of software marketing, to Western executive for healthcare solutions. Pigott holds an industrial engineering degree from Stanford University.
