Java Boot Camp Worldwide Rollout Underway
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 2000--Arthur Andersen and ProsoftTraining.com (Nasdaq: POSO - news), a leader in education and certification programs for Internet and Linux professionals, today announced the development and initial implementation of a worldwide eBusiness training initiative for Arthur Andersen professionals and clients. ProsoftTraining.com has customized its Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) courseware for Arthur Andersen's Java Boot Camp, an intensive four-week training program.

The training, which is being held at Prosoft's Durham, North Carolina facility, uses hands-on training and reality-based labs to provide participants with the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to implement end-to-end enterprise Java solutions. The Java Boot Camp is being delivered now in North America and will be rolled out to Arthur Andersen offices worldwide this fall. While initially designed for Arthur Andersen internal personnel, the firm has agreed to open sessions of the Java Boot Camp to its strategic partners and clients.

``Arthur Andersen professionals and our clients, such as those involved with digital marketplaces, benefit when hands-on training such as this is made widely available,'' said Guy Hosford, an eBusiness partner at Arthur Andersen, and point person for this company-wide initiative. ``We selected Prosoft because of their demonstrated success in the rapid development and deployment of customized eBusiness enablement programs. Bringing our clients through this process, to ultimately work alongside our trained eBusiness professionals, makes for a formidable team.''

The rapid deployment of the program was facilitated by the use of customized elements of the CIW curriculum, the comprehensive eBusiness skills certification program developed by Prosoft. The custom program is a key component of Arthur Andersen's initiative to recruit, train, and deploy eBusiness professionals throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, India, Latin America and North America.

``The Java Boot Camp will give Arthur Andersen employees and clients a cutting-edge Java enablement experience,'' noted Jerry Baird, ProsoftTraining.com chairman and CEO. ``We are pleased to add Arthur Andersen to the growing list of leading industry players for whom we have developed customized programs from our CIW library.''

CIW is the industry-leading certification program for Internet professionals. CIW defines the critical job roles and associated skills required to deploy today's e-business solutions. The industry-validated job role designations provide a ``road map'' that helps individuals and companies prepare Internet professionals to develop and deploy e-business technologies. The vendor-neutral program gives participants exposure to the leading technologies in numerous subject areas. After mastering the basic concepts in the CIW Foundations series, students are prepared to pursue CIW Professional certification in job role areas such as Site Designer, e-Commerce, Application Developer, Enterprise Developer, Server Administrator, Internetworking Professional or Security Professional. Students can focus on specific job roles, or pursue the new master-level certification tracks -- Master CIW Administrator, Master CIW Enterprise Developer and Master CIW Designer.
