Neues zu Upgrade (UPGD) --> Ein wichtiger neuer Mann im Boot!

das Business rules, - aber lest selber...

LOS GATOS, Calif., Feb 8, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --  Today UltraCard Inc., a
subsidiary of Upgrade International Corp. (OTCBB:UPGD), is pleased to announce
the addition of Mr. Andy Seybold to the UltraCard Inc. Board of Directors.

Mr. Andrew Seybold is the owner and managing editor of Outlook, a leading
publication specialising in wireless communications. He is also responsible for
the foundation of the Wireless Data University, which was established in 1995 as
a wireless tutorial to precede the Cellular Telecommunications Industry
Association's conferences. Mr. Seybold has over 30 years' experience in all
aspects of mobile communications and has been credited with working as
consultant with major companies in the industry, including Microsoft, Apple,
IBM, HP and others.

"As I mentioned at COMDEX last November, the UltraCard has made it possible to
adapt the data storage capacity of a hard disc drive on to a credit card format.
In this regard, the UltraCard technology is not an evolutionary technology; it
is a revolutionary technology. In my experience, the UltraCard represents a new
technological platform, itself a rare scientific discovery, which will provide a
new tool to various industries, such as portable computers, PDAs, mobile phones,
ATMs, banking, digital photography, entertainment, etc. From the narrow
perspective of mobile communications, the UltraCard solves substantial current
problems in that it provides for significant data storage capacity thereby
lending itself to the design of powerful software applications. Until now,
mobile communications have been hampered by the high cost of data storage. There

is no doubt in my mind that the UltraCard will lead the way in giving the mobile
communications industry an inexpensive, robust and powerful technology which
will open up the gates to e-commerce."

Daniel Kehoe, President and CEO of UltraCard Inc. commented, "It is a great
honor and a delight to have Andy on our Board. Since mid-1998, when he joined
UltraCard as head of the Technical Advisory Board, Andy has been a source of
inspiration, encouragement and vision to all of us, as well as of practical
advice. His major contribution has been in guiding us towards early
commercialisation. Moreover, with his addition as a full member of the Board, we
are now preparing the team which will lead UltraCard Inc. to the public

Following the appointment of Mr. Andrew Seybold to the Board of UltraCard, the
President of Upgrade International Corp., Daniel Bland, stated that, "Mr.
Seybold has brought a wealth of expertise in the Upgrade group in general, and
UltraCard Inc. in particular. His early recognition of the substantial merits of
the UltraCard technology made it possible for us to focus on key applications
and to proceed along a clear commercialisation path. With Mr. Seybold on the
Board, UltraCard Inc. is assembling a world class team to take it to the next

UltraCard Inc., ( has developed a revolutionary system for
high capacity data storage. The management of UltraCard, Inc. believes that
their developed and patented product represents a significant advance in the
method consumers and businesses will utilize portable data, integrating
UltraCard products into everyday life. Utilizing existing hard disk storage
technology, UltraCard provides a unique and highly durable media in a common
credit card format, to satisfy the next generation in personal portable data
storage for a broad range of existing and new market sectors. UltraCard
currently provides 5 megabytes of memory and is fully editable. Management
estimates that more than 1 gigabyte of recordable data, on a single credit card
format, can be achieved without the need for compression technology.

Upgrade International Corp., ( is focused on the development and
acquisition of state-of-the-art information technology.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Daniel Bland, President
