n behalf of the Board of Directors of Austin Exploration Limited, I am pleased to invite you to become a Shareholder.
Austin Exploration Limited (Austin Exploration) was established under a joint venture between the Assam Company Limited of India and DMS Exploration of Texas, USA.
DMS Exploration is a Texas based independent oil and gas operator, which has a background in the development of technology relating to the interpretation of seismic data and other information. Assam Company Limited is a public company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange which first became involved in the oil exploration industry in India in 1889. It is intended that Austin Exploration will be a focus for Assam Company Limited's expansion into international oil and gas projects.
Austin Exploration has the right to acquire an interest by fulfilling work commitments in the Cooper Basin in South Australia and through a USA based subsidiary, has acquired two oil and gas prospects in Texas and Louisiana in the USA. In addition, Austin Exploration has the right to acquire an interest in a potentially very large onshore oil prospect in the Stansbury Basin of South Australia. The Independent Geologist's Report set out in Part 11 of this Prospectus refers to the Yorketown Prospect having the potential to trap in excess of one billion barrels of oil in place if all elements of the play are productive, with a calculated recoverable potential of 788 million barrels of oil.
An exciting drilling program is proposed for the first two years of Austin Exploration's operations. During the first 12 months of Austin Exploration's operations, it is expected that one well will be drilled in each of the Polecat and St. Gabriel Prospects in the USA, one well will be drilled in PEL 105 in the Cooper Basin Region of South Australia and one well will be drilled in the Yorketown Prospect in PEL 73.
In the second 12 months of Austin Exploration's operations, it is proposed that an additional well will be drilled in PEL 105. It is a key feature of Austin Exploration's strategy to quickly establish a commercial gas production base in the USA and to use the anticipated early cash flow to fund the drilling of additional wells in Texas and Louisiana. If successful, this strategy will also place the Company in a position to accelerate its Australian programs. In addition, the Company intends to pursue other opportunities that may become available in Australia and the USA, and through its connection with Assam Company Limited, proposes to pursue opportunities to acquire acreage in India.
Austin Exploration will be managed by its Managing Director, Mr David Schuette. Investment in Austin Exploration offers the opportunity to participate in exciting prospects in both the USA and Australia, with a strategy to establish early cash flow and to be well positioned to pursue exploration opportunities that may arise in India.
The Board of Austin Exploration Limited commends the Offer to you and looks forward to your participation.
Yours faithfully
Dr Krishna Kumar Jajodia
Chairman
