Madagascar Oil regrets that we were unable to participate in the recent Jirama fuel tender. This
decision was made following clarifications that the tender terms of reference did not provide for a joint
offering with a supply partner. Madagascar Oil intended to use joint supply to meet the requested
volume of fuel while increasing deliveries from over 30,000 cubic meters of equivalent fuel oil in our
storage tanks, restarting oil production, continuing repairs on the national road, and further increasing
long-term oil production from the giant Tsimiroro Oil Field in Western Madagascar.
Madagascar Oil welcomes and supports the recent tender process, which was successful in broadening
supplier participation, with increased transparency. We support continued efforts from Jirama and the
Malagasy State to improve long-term energy security, affordability, and reliability for the benefit of the
Malagasy people, which will require all forms of energy to meet rising demand. madagascaroil.wpengine.com/wp-content/...ender-07-Apr-2017.pdf
